Origin Story
Every year for Father's Day, as I wife I try and make the day special. As a mother to two beautiful babies, I want them to understand their father is just as important and worthy of love as me.
So I go to the party supply stores and try to make it do what it do! What I'm met with are generic sports themes or "manly" themed party supplies like gardening, tool kits, and other foolishness. While these are ok, I wanted each year to feel SPECIAL.
My family also celebrates Juneteenth, and every year it falls on the same week as Father's Day. So what did I do?!
Created "Dadteenth: Celebrating Dope Black Dads". This a way of merging my love for Black people with my love for Black fathers and families.
While this labor of love is in its infancy stages, I hope you can help it become something more. Something that speaks to the necessity and appreciation for Black men in our communities and as a founding source of our families.
Here's to the business growing and loving on all men who lead with love and purpose!
